Osiris & Sisters
This splendid depiction of Osiris and his sisters, Isis and Nephthys, comes from a papyrus from the ancient Egyptian Book of the Dead found in Thebes and dated to around 1275 BC. Osiris was regarded as one of the most important deities and came to represent life, death, fertility and re-birth thanks to his complex story in Egyptian mythology. The illustration translates perfectly to Cross stitch and the parchment style fabric gives it the look of an ancient antiquity.Design count 181 stitches wide x 181 stitches highDesign size on 28 count Cashel:12.9 ins x 12.9 ins (32.8 cms x 32.8 cms).
